Course Description *Junior Only (grade 4-6)

This is an introductory course for anyone interested in developing their reading skills. If you are an avid reader, you will enjoy this course as well. The books are all written after 2016 by Canadian authors (except one, who is a New York Times bestseller). Students will explore themes that are important today without being bogged down by archaic language. Discussions in this course allow students to connect deeper with others and the world, developing empathy.
